No way the Predator could be assimilated. They'd blow themselves up first. But I wouldn't mind watching a predator hunt the borg.
Also, Ewoks and Gungans as borg would be hilarious. But Wookies would just look weird.

I wonder who is more irrelevant as a species, the Kazon or the gungun. Seven did say they refused to assimilate the Kazon because they were not worth it.
I also think it's impossible to assimilate a Predator, but it would be cool to see the battle.

Like to add a few other species from across the fictions that would add their biological and technological distinctiveness. A borgified Asgard from Stargate, borgified ET thing, Alf, and Gilbert would be interesting. The Mars attack Martians, the Mars Needs Moms Martians, or the Ice Warriors. The Sontarans and Silurian's. The creatures from Independence Day, the Ood, Pak'ma'ra, the Apes from Planet of the Apes (original).
What would they do with the Cylons? Of any variety?
The ultimate assimilation event though, for me, would be the Cybermen. Borg v Daleks would be a blood bath of advanced powers with relentless but diametrically opposed philosophies.

Well, I don't know what a Gungan is, and that's apparently "winning" right now. I voted Xenomorph. That would be one DEADLY alien once assimilated!
Jar jar Binks is a Gungan. Which would account for its popularity.
Many years ago, I was working on a Doctor Who/Star Trek: Voyager fanfic where that happened. The Borg got slaughtered in droves in their futile attempt to assimilate the technologically superior Daleks. Meanwhile, the Cybermen could barely get a look-in. Like the Kazon, the Cybermen were viewed as being a step backwards. (Granted, this was the Cybus-men from Pete's World. If the Borg met the newest iteration of the Cybermen from "Nightmare in Silver," I think their interest would be piqued.)
If the Borg assimilated the Taelons, I wonder if they would be able to solve the Taelon Core Energy crisis. But maybe they would just move on to assimilate the Jaridians too, fusing the races back together, and recreating the Atavus in their own way. Seeing as the ancient Atavus were basically a race of oversexed space vampires, I kinda feel like they would be the Borg Queen's new kinky pet project.
And since I'm always willing to inject Lost Girl into any conversation, the Borg would probably get a lot of mileage out of assimilating certain breeds of Fae, particularly if they could replicate Vex's Mesmer powers. Hell, the Borg Queen is probably already a Succubus in hiding who was assimilated during the events of "The Neutral Zone."
And while the Borgified Gungans would be hilarious, probably the most useless of all the alien races of all of sci-fi-dom that they could get their hands on would be the Putty Patrollers from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (or maybe the Piranhatrons from Power Rangers Turbo). Makes me wonder if the Machine Empire is just the Borg's retarded cousins that they don't talk about.

For Star Trek species please assimilate all species that are boring or useless. EG : Kazon or Pakleds
