Repeat thetaer viewings of movies highest number?

There are a few I saw more than once, but the list of ones seen more than twice in the theater is pretty short; The Song Remains the Same, The Pink Floyd Movie (AKA Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii) and The Kids Are Alright. I can't think of any others of which I'd be sure.

I saw Titanic and Superman Returns four times each in theaters. I saw Titanic opening weekend before the hype and I will give up many man points to say that I still really like this movie.

I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I Know What You Did Last Summer three times each in theaters. I almost saw Elektra three times in theaters. When I was going to meet a friend to see it the third time it was already out of theaters.

I'll quite often see films three or four times just because different groups of friends are all going at different times.

However, the leader by far is Titanic which I saw 13 times. I was twelve, I had a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio, there was no other form of indoor entertainment for kids in my town, and cinema tickets were so much cheaper in those days.

I saw TMNT (2007) 6 times in the theater last year.
2nd place is Superman Returns with 5 viewings.
Honorable mentions for 4 times a piece for Serenity, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, & Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. (I'm not sure if this disqualifies anything but one of those Attack of the Clones viewings was during its IMAX rerelease and the 1st time I saw Serenity was at one of those early preview screenings that summer.)

I saw Titanic opening weekend before the hype and I will give up many man points to say that I still really like this movie.
It's a James Cameron flick so I have total understanding there.

Agreed. Titanic gets a man-pass where it otherwise wouldn't because it was directed by the same guy who did Aliens & The Terminator.

I saw the Origianal American Pie in the theatre seven times. I tried to break that record when Freddy Vs Jason came out, but was two short from making it.

Well, for me it was Star Wars. Saw it 11 times when it was initially released in 1977. I was just absolutely floored with the visiuals. I think second place would have to go to Back to The Future, my oldest son was a kid when it premeired and I think I took him to see it 5 times. I remember him sitting on my lap, point at the screen going "Future, Daddy, Future......" with a big smile..

Most movies, If I really like them, I'll go see twice at the movie complex. The second time is to look for details or subtle beats that I missed on the first viewing. I find seeing the movie a second time is more enjoyable. You're able to enjoy the whole movie and not have to worry about what is happening or keeping up with what's actually going on.

I saw The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith 7 times each during their theatrical run.

I sawthe Special Editions of Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi 5 times each during their run (I had seen the orignal versions multiple times on various earlier releases, but I'm not including them.)

Aside from those, I don't think I've seen any movie more than 3 times in the theater.

I saw FOTR a whopping 7+ times in theaters, tho to be fair about 4+ of those were at the free college movie theater. I kept going to see it with someone who hadn't seen it yet!

"Transformers", 14x. Granted, three of these viewings were free (including two back to back viewings when Hasbro invited me to a charity event in Rhode island to premiere the film) and one was the IMAX showing. Still, it's an insane number come to think of it...

I've seen the latest Indiana Jones three times, though plan on seeing it a few more. The second place movie is Star Trek Nemesis with twice (yes, I'm still rather fond of that movie too. :p ). Everything else has only been seen once.

I saw Star Trek IV about 14 times in the theaters.

And Back to the Future a dozen times.

Local theatre showed TMP and KHAN back to back near the end of Khan's run..I went there one day at 1030am, and stayed there until 12 midnight watching them both back to back..

Though, the third time through the Vger cloud I started to get tired!!!

I've seen a number of movies 3 times.
This years movies to hit that are Iron Man and Incredible Hulk.

I've seen Indiana Jones..Crystal Skull 4 times

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a movie more than 4 times in the theater.

Twice is my usual stopping point but in the last few years I've gotten good at getting free screeners so that helps on movies like the above.

^Yeah, I've hit the 3x mark for Iron Man and it's entirely conceivable that it will eventually get bumped up to 4x. And while I don't want to jinx it, I think The Dark Knight has the possibility of being a record breaker. (I believe it has already surpassed the record for trailer I've seen the most number of times. IIRC, that record was previously held by the trailer for Event Horizon that was at the beginning of my VHS copy of Star Trek: First Contact.)
