Remember Space Cases? What does that have to do with Jewel Stait?

Oh I totally remember Space Cases. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger. In fact, the theme song is now stuck in my head. Thanks a bunch. :p

I completely remember this show! Also, if you read TrekLit, Peter David kept slipping Space Cases references into his New Frontier novels - actor and character names pop up all over the place.

And thanks, OdoWanKenobi; now I've got the theme song stuck in my head too.

I've seen a hand full of Nick shows finally hitting DVD, if they have released Hey Dude, I'm sure Space Cases cant be far behind

I don't remember any from New Frontier, but there's a big one in his The Captain's Daughter -- Sulu's first officer on the Excelsior is Anik of Matern, named for the actress who played the android Thelma.

Yep. Also, there were some B5/Space Cases crossover references.

Oh yes! IIRC, there was a B5 episode by PAD that ended with a toy bear ("Ba-Bear-lon 5," part of an ill-advised marketing campaign -- or was it "Bear-bylon 5"?) getting jettisoned into space, and later there was a Space Cases episode where the same bear was seen drifting through space (or hit the ship's viewport or something).

The two that come into my mind immediately are Catalina City on Titan (Saturn's moon; Jewel Staite's character was Catalina and came from Saturn) and a helm officer named Kristian Ayre (actor who played Radu.)

I remember seeing an episode and thinking the rainbow haired girl would probably grow up to be quite hot.

Commander Seth Goddard is also at the first of the first New Frontiers novel.

Goddard contacted Lieutenant Soleta to tell her that she was being transferred from being a Starfleet Academy instructor to the post of Science Officer aboard the U.S.S. Excalibur.

I never forgot it. I really enjoyed the show, and would be willing to get a DVD set if they'd make one.

Catalina was my very first TV crush, too.

God, I used to love this show when I was younger. I would definitely (at least) Netflix it if it ever came out on DVD.

I was a pretty weird kid. I didn't watch children's shows at all. I went straight to Trek, Babylon 5, so on, so forth.

Kinda feel like I missed out for once though!

I didn't realize so many people actually watched and liked Space Cases.

I forgot to post the link to the "official" website:

http://www.spacecasestv.com/

It hasn't been updated since 2005, but it's still a pretty nifty site for those interested in the show. It contains various behind the scenes information and photos, and general information about the show.
