meanwhile VH1 is nothing like what it used to be either...

It might not be much, but at least VH1 still has a very long block in the middle of the night where they still play nothing but music videos. I think it's from 2am-8am or something like that.

It's a lot more than what MTV does.

So am I - you are 20 years older than the target market - when you were 12, it was 1988. You are old in terms of listening to pop music added at kids.

Sorry, MTV was never aimed at 12 year olds, at least not rock and rap. U2 was not aimed at 12 year olds. Metallica and the Beastie Borys were not aimed at 12 year olds. Wishy washy boy bands maybe. I spent many, many nights in university with MuchMusic on in the background listening to my favourite tunes.... I would suspect millions of others would say the same.
