Relatives of TV main characters?

F. King Daniel

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
I'm finally reading the Prometheus books, and I've just met Jenna Winona Kirk. It reminded me of another female Kirk decendant stationed on the Enterprise-E in an older novel but the details elude me. And of course there was a preceeding Kirk in the Rise of the Federation books.

Have any other characters had so many family members peppered throughout Trek novelverse history?

I am still firmly convinced that Dr. Joseph M'Benga of SNW has at least one younger relative who is also a Starfleet physician, and given how Kathleen Sky's Death's Angel irrevocably changes her version of M'Benga, maybe more than one.

Not a novel, but there was also a descendant named Jamie Samantha Kirk, who was serving on Deep Space Nine in a comic called "Blood and Honor"... written by Mark Lenard!

Hmm. Mark Lenard. Reminds me of how Barbara Hambly, in her "unauthorized crossover" Ishmael, had Mark Lenard's character in Here Come the Brides turn out to be an ancestor of Spock's mother.

I believe I once encountered a comic that had a third Picard brother named Claude or something. It's only a vague memory tho.

The Gift
That comic was scripted before "Family" aired and introduced a completely different version of Picard's family. So not really a third brother.

I generally hate stories with family or offspring of characters.

This is a great story. One of the few exceptions where family is concerned.

I've just gotten to the bit where O'Brien asks, and finds out the Prometheus Kirk is the great granddaughter of Sam Kirk, and the DS9 one is his granddaughter.
