Spoilers "Regeneration" did not deserve the hate.

I remember before the episode aired, the usual posters were screaming about how lazy and ridiculous it was for Enterprise to have a Borg episode.

There was all the typical talk about how it broke canon and how “B&B” were horrible and didn’t respect Star Trek or “Gene’s Vision.” (The more things change, the more they stay the same.)

Didn’t hear much from those types after the episode aired, they just moved on to complaining about the next thing Enterprise did that didn’t fit their idea of what the franchise should be.

By the time the episode aired, we had leaks for a few weeks about the season ending with the Xindi attack and that this would lead into a story arc for the third season about trying to prevent the Xindi from completing a weapon to destroy Earth. So That Crowd was moaning about the show abandoning exploration and focusing on military conflict "in blatant defiance of Gene's Vision" as well as complaints about ripping off DS9 with the Xindi being compared to the Dominion. Complaints about unsubtle parallels to 9/11 and the war in Iraq. People insisting this had to be an alternate timeline in order to make any sense.

Yeah, fandom really never does change.

Ironic, considering that "The Expanse", aka. the Xindi attack episode, is the Season 2 episode I'm looking forward to the most.

I like 'Regeneration'...

Should have been a three to four episode arc.

Episode One: the reason why Artic 1 existed. Why was it sent? Why an artic equipped low warp ship in the first place.

Episode Two: Artic 1's detection of an anomaly. Setting up of camp, and adding additional equipment.

Episode Three: the problem. Why was communication lost? In other words a slow assimilation of the camp by nanites, initially for electrical power. Then the two Borg corpes, get regenerated...leading to the immediate destruction of the camp by spacial missile. Or two. See 'The Andromeda Strain'. Essentially an unauthorized event.

Episode Four: it takes weeks to get a message to the Enterprise, why? Early subspace radio limitations.

Admiral Forest is nearly stripped of his rank till the reply from Enterprise, and the evidence provided by Enterprise, shows he did the right thing.

In other words it should have been an Admiral Forest story, from start to finish. Including near Earth operations.

Absolutely not.

Completely unnecessary information

Episode Two: Artic 1's detection of an anomaly. Setting up of camp, and adding additional equipment.
That's a 1 minute scene, not an episode.

Is the main cast even in your story?

You cannot be serious, this might be one of the worst story ideas I've ever seen.
