B&B referenced Pon Farr far too often for my liking. It was supposed to be this secret thing, not spoken of with outsiders, and they turned it into Vulcan porn.

I sort of agree.

I thought the worst thing was when Tuvok was bantering about pon farr with Paris of all people. If it were me I'd rather die in the flames of Plak Tow than tell anything that personal to Paris. To Chakotay maybe. But Paris

I think most other cases the Vulcans had to reveal what was going on to stop them looking like lunatics.

Maybe by the 24th century it was all out in the open anyway
