Redrawn FASA Manual Starships

I'm sure many of you like myself had/have, or at least have seen, some of the great FASA manuals from the 80s and 90s. They were filled with drawings and specs on countless starships - Federation, Klingon, Romulan, you name it.

While FASA may be no more, Brad Torgersen has taken it upon himself to redraw many of those starships, bringing them into the digital age. A collection of much of Brad's work can now be viewed at the following link:

Enjoy the look back...

Nice to see his redraws there. :techman::cool::cool::cool::cool:

As well as that link to Brads' FASA forum, @publiusr , here's a link to his online database, where the images on Cygnus-x1 site originate from...

Thank you. There was a Decker redraw attempt that was never finished. Any news on that? I might have picked that as the Protostar

A while back I took a stab at my favourite of the old FASA fleet, the Chandley. I didn't hit it quite right, but happy with what turned out.

The models that FASA did release were very nice, but the Loknar mini was a pain to keep the nacelles on the thin struts on the mini at 1/3900 scale.

Got a thread on the forum @publiusr linked to above, started nearly a decade ago, with the intention of showing minis to use with FASA minis from other manufacturers available at the time (pre/early Shapeways), such as ADB from Star Fleet Batttles, even Silent death minis!

The Loknar is on page 1 of the thread...

After the 200th Art Challenge is done, i may be adding the K'Mirra/Alliance-class Battlecruiser to my WIPs.
And split it into two ships; the K'Mirra/Alliance-class Battlecruiser with recalculated measurements, because the art depicts a ship ≈2x the width the stats describe, and a Heavy Destroyer to match those stats.

What is STSTCSOLD&A's policy on thread necromancy?

Thanks for compiling this resource!

Well it's been a while since I've updated it, and it was created as Shapeways was becoming a thing. It's also in no way complete, but was started to show what you could use to supplement your FASA ships (eg SFB minis), or show proxies for FASA minis not released, at that time (2012)!

There's definitely a couple of gaps of about a year in a couple of cases. Check the post gap between the Orion and Gorn ships!
