Red Matter = Rambaldi's Sphere?

Don't think this has been posted yet, but forgive me if it has... I haven't seen Alias in awhile, but did anyone think the red matter sphere reminded them of the Rambaldi big huge giant red ball from the final seasons of Alias?

Yeah, I pointed out the same thing to my friends who saw it with me. I kept thinking "What is it with JJ and big, red, liquid-like spheres?" Then I decided, maybe I don't want to know.

it just makes me go hhmmmm.... rambaldi was way ahead of his time (time travel) and developed a big red ball (red matter). can't wait for the crossover movie!
