"Red Ice" ?

I'm in the middle of A Time to Hate and I noticed a comment regarding the drug "Red Ice", the name seems very familiar to me, but a search through Memory Beta and Google yielded no immediate results, is this just some weird in-joke from the author?

IIRC, "Red Ice" was a controlled substance/narcotic in Well of Souls.

I believe it was also referenced in Worlds of Deep Space Nine: Andor: Paradigm, if memory serves.

Naw, that was a a different drug produced by the Andorians called Saf.
