recommendation for la forge

I just finished watching "Time's Arrow, Part II," and I was really impressed with the skills Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge used, to save Earth from the Devidians. I think he should have received a commendation or a medal, but nothing was said or suggested about this. Everyone carried on just like normal.
La Forge deserved a medal or some other recognition, don't you think?

Data had a box full of metals, apparently awarded before he ever stepped aboard the Enterprise, and the only time it was a big deal was at his trial.

Should anyone decide to take Geordi apart to figure out how he ticked, his box of medals and a hologram of Leah Brahms would be busted out so quick...
