Recent Simon & Schuster ebook disappointment

No, this thread isn't to bemoan the timing of ebook releases, believe or not.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but the last two trek ebook releases from S&S (Shards & Shadows and A Singular Destiny) are listed at full price. In the past, these books (if purchased directly from S&S) were much more reasonably priced that from other on-line etailers. They used to be discoutned as much as 30% over the competition. Now, we can enjoy a 0% discount. Not sure how they can justify full price for an ebook, when they don't have to manufacture, print, or deliver a dead tree book (but that's a rant for another time).

Both books are currently available at BooksOnBoard.com for 20% off list.

Thought you E-readers out there would like to know.

I'm more upset that they have gotten rid of Ms-Reader format. I have an RCA gemstar ebook, that i would convert the lit files to make it readable on that device. Now they Ms Reader format is gone!

I've been disappointed in the lack of Trek books in LIT format as well. I started a thread here about it a couple weeks ago - http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=79790 . It's been about three months since a Trek book came out in LIT (Destiny II- Mere Mortals).
