I almost left Trip unmolested, but as I'd changed most of the cast at that point, I figured, , recast'em all

Note: Jay M. Leggett, my casting for Tucker, played Hierarchian Phlox on V'GER.

I couldn't cast Leggett as ENT's Phlox. Would literally be typecasting then

Good choice. Objectively & rationally that is.

My only somewhat irrational perks with Gary Cole are:

* His name. Gary Cole the name is practically a verbal dead-ringer for Gary Coleman the name.

So, until I keel over, every time I see Gary Cole I think of Gary Coleman.

When I see Gary Cole in something I immediately see Gary Coleman in my brain's eye.

I also find Gary Cole's name frustrating for this reason. When I think or say his name I want to say Gary Coleman instead. Seems easier for some reason

But you can't do that. Thus the frustration

* For years, I used to always see him as Jeffrey McDonald, imprisoned wife-murderer.

* That stopped when GC played Mike Brady. Then he was Mike Brady no matter what.

* Then GC was Phil Lumberg from "Office Space".

* I can't see Gary Cole in anything now without thinking immediately of Mike Brady & Phil Lumberg

In addition to the whole Gary Cole/Gary Coleman Quagmire in my brain.
