Really the Kelvin? (Intel Website)

ST-One

Vice Admiral
I've just seen this image over at the Phase II-forums:

I know, it's a page-stretcher but...

Re: Really the Kelvin?

I like it...

Is it the real thing or a fan creation based on the previous pictures we've seen ?

If its a fan-model, then it's a damn good one.
But I have a feeling that this is the model they used in the movie; it looks very much like in the teaser-pictures.

Re: Really the Kelvin?

Huh. I like. But I'm skeptical about it;s legitimacy...the font for "Star Trek" is wrong, just like the other fan-made poters. On the other hand, if its fake, somebody whipped up a version of the Kelvin using elments of the new Enterprise awfully quickly.

Re: Really the Kelvin?

That is the ship I saw in the midnight trailer on QoS.

Re: Really the Kelvin?

Two things:

  • Note the window on the bridge.
  • And the part I just really geeked-out over ... the three "windows" on the leading edge of the Kelvin's saucer.

Cool, isn't it? :D :D

The phaser-turrets seem to be retractable (they are visible in the blue image but not the red one :) )

Re: Really the Kelvin?

Looking at these pics makes me think that the writing is off-center, when compatred to the angle of the nacelle/ secondary hull.. those parts are pointed more to the left while the writing is pointing more to camera

Re: Really the Kelvin?

On the original, TOS Enterprise, there are three, circular, lit areas on the bow of the primary hull. Most people think they're regular windows, but I'm part of a minority who assume those are sensors or maybe tied to the navigational deflector system. They never appeared on the refit Enterprise or any other ship after TOS.

They're on the Kelvin ... and they're UNLIT! *SQEEEE!*

Seems symetrical enough to me...

In that red image, it looks like there is a glass dome on the bridge...
