Reading Suggestions

vess,

I remember starting to read DS9's relaunch, Avatar book 1 a few years after it was released. For some reason I got thru the first 20 or so pages and put it down.

Fast forward to about Jan. 2009 after catching a DS9 episode late nite on Spike TV, I decided to revisit reading Avatar. After that, I didn't stop.

I started reading DS9's relaunch novels and after realizing that they didn't in some way have any great impact in regards to TNG; I discovered TNG's relaunch and began a full-scale assault of reading them all, Titan's, Voyager's Full Circle & Unworthy included (I just finished Titan's: Synthesis last night).

It took me a little over a year with a slight detour reading one of Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt novel's (can't remember the name, hence the Star Trek overload :) )

I can tell you that in reading them, it has brought a tremendous amount of joy to my life. I hadn't realized how much I had missed Star Trek.

The novels just brought everything back to life. Continuing stories, further depth of the characters, introductions of new characters...

My suggestion, read the entire Relaunch if you can. I was not disappointed. Granted a very, very few are just ok, but it is still Star Trek. Also, as mentioned some are tough (DS9's) to find. I had to pay a bit to get the final 2 of DS9's Mission Gamma series. It was worth it to me anyway.

And when you finish the Destiny series, build an altar and bow to the greatness of David Mack ;)

Actually all of the author's deserve altars, just make Mack's a little more special.

Enjoy!!!
