And re: Scout101, I hadn't really intended to, but then again I didn't expect this thread to last past a day. So why not?
When I was last a member around here I lived in Texas with my folks. After they retired they put the house up for sale and I intended to move North to Washington state with them. Well after about a year of it not selling I never thought it would, so I started to get comfortable with staying in Texas. I met a girl and we almost hooked up, but then my folks house sold, so I was left with the decision of staying down there and being with that girl (plus my decent paying job), or leaving her behind and braving it on my own up in Washington (I was determined not to move back in with my folks).
Well I chose the latter option. It was real easy in fact. But Aldo you say, you left behind a girl who wanted to hook up with you, that is true. But I left out one detail, she was already engaged to another guy, we were hanging out behind his back (I say hanging out because nothing major happened between us, I Just couldn't go through with it knowing she was engaged). Now even though I said it was an easy option, actually leaving her behind was a bit harder, because I'm not exactly the kind of guy who's swimming in girls, so when I get ones attention I consider myself mad to leave her behind. However in this case logic won out. I mean really, if she was willing to leave her fiancée that quickly for me what would she have done when she found someone else she deemed better than me?
So anyways once I moved up here I did stay with my folks for about two weeks in Spokane, WA. Then I moved over to Seattle and moved in with my sister and her husband, and I've been living here ever since. I got a average job (could be better) but I love where I live, love the freedom I have of living away from my folks, and just enjoy the group of people that are my friends.
