Ray Wise (Leland from Twin Peaks) joins Dollhouse

Between this, Jamie Bamber, Michael Hogan and Summer Glau making appearances in the upcoming season, Dollhouse certainly seems to be doing okay on the casting front--let's just hope the upcoming season is much more like the last half of season 1 than the abysmal first half.

And yes, Ray Wise was great in Twin Peaks. Hopefully he gets a similarly memorable role here.

Yeah I think more people will know him by the devil in Reaper than in a show that was canceled 20 years ago.

I am so looking forward to the new season. Every new bit of info just adds to my anticipation. And I've just received my season one box set, too!

Wasn't he also Vice President Hal Gardener (a Green Lantern reference, apparently) in 24?

He's always good value for money. Anothe good add to an increasingly interesting cast.

Hopefully the quality of the writing improves to a point to match the increasingly interesting cast.

After that episode where the big reveal was that she was a PETA nut who got her boyfriend killed, I'm slightly skeptical...

Well, the big question for me is how they'll fit the 2019 story into the main 2010 story.

Was just recently on Warehouse 13, wasn't he?

Another bit of great news for the show; now I can watch for intriguing stories to go along with catching boob and leg shots... :p

So this DVD-only episode, is it canon? 'Cause I'm not gonna be buying the DVD of this... to force someone to shell out bucks to get an integral part of the story would be a little skeevy.

You'd probably be wrong about that. Reaper got like on tenth of the ratings and one twentieth of the press that Twin Peaks did.

It's definitely canon....as to whether or not it'll ever air, who knows. There were strange legal issues with airing it as part of season 1, but maybe they'll shoehorn it into season 2 or something.

You can kind of think of it like B5's "Deconstruction". It shows glimpses of the future, and gives you a good idea where this is all headed. But unless they start driving that story forward concurrently with the "now" story, it shouldn't be required viewing for the start of season 2.

On the one hand, I can't see them teasing 2019 like that and then not following it up. On the other, the 2019 timeframe is pretty much a completely different show----so I can't see them shifting the focus there either. Most likely it'll be somewhere in between.
