As for the Rottentomatoes score, here are the audience scores for all the series
TOS - 86%
TNG - 76%
DS9 - 71%
VOY - 68%
ENT - 75%
DSC - 65%
I can see that DSC's score is based on 1676 reviews - so not many people! Also, I can find no information on how many people the scores are based on for the other series (is it smaller if they dont say how many people the score is calculated from?)
IMDB has a greater number of voters for DSC:
7.6/10 based on 7045 votes
Enterprise only has 1162 voters and averages an 8.2
TNG 9.1 based on 2257 votes
DS9 8.2 based on 691 votes
BUT, these are tiny numbers!
Compare this to Star Trek Beyond, which has 73,311 votes on Rotten Tomatoes and you see the issue. Here, we have a large sample size, so outliers have less influence on the result.
At the moment, I would say there is insufficient data to be drawing any conclusions.
I have read with amusement people arguing that The Orville has been better received by the audience at large than DSC - based on the RT audience scores. Conveniently ignoring the critics scores, which are lamentable. The point is that without knowing the number of people that voted, you cannot draw a comparison. Those who love or hate something are far more likely to vote early on.
