Just curious here.

The series intros have been a mixed bunch, some a beautiful with great music. Some haven't been so good.

I'd be interested to see what people think of each series from a general "what's your favourite" to the aspects like the music, the visuals etc.

For me, I really like the Strange New Worlds intro. The rearranged Tos theme is wonderful to listen to but the images of the 1701 flying through space is lovely to look at.

I won't be skipping this intro often..

Prodigy is a good one too.

The SNW tune is kind of catchy, but it bothers me that modern SF viewers hate it when space is black.

I really liked that TNG used the TMP theme. I didn't like "where no one has gone before" -- I'm wiser now and understand the issue with "no man", but no one has its own hubris. The Enterprise rarely went where no one had gone before. Just not humans.

TOS is iconic, but the theme is actually one of the weakest in the (terrific) TOS score.

I actually really love the TAS theme. :)

DS9 is boring as anything. I can't remember the VOY theme, which is telling.

I think I would rank them this way

SNW
Voyager
Prodigy
DS9
TNG
Lower Decks
Enterprise (Season 1-2)
Star Trek
Enterprise (Season 3-4)
Picard
Discovery

LD: TNG but funny!
TNG: gotta' love that movie theme
TOS: a classic
PROD: fun
VOY: pretty
DS9: in awe of the pylons
SNW: The spoken intro is back!
ENT: I don't care what people say: I like the song.
DISC: fine
ST: fine
TAS: diet TOS
PIC: the most overly complicated and pretentious, but even that one I don't hate

kind of even between Voyager and Prodigy for me for the best. TOS is the most iconic.
if we include the movies, it's not even close. TWOK.

TOS: absolutely iconic, bold as brass, just like Kirk.
TNG: great, and I actually think it's quite cool that they reused the TMP theme. After some consideration, I'll pick TNG as my favorite.
DS9: the music is decent, but the theme drags on for far too long. I can only look at the space station for so long before I start yawning. They could've cut it in half by giving Avery Brooks his own credit screen, but showing two credits per screen after that.
VGR: it's been so long since I've seen the show that I don't remember the theme. I don't remember actively disliking it, so I guess that's something...
ENT: I guess I'm one of the few fans who'll admit to liking both versions of the sung theme, even if I think that the picture credits should've included some Soviet achievements as well, notably Sputnik, Gagarin, and Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space. All that said, IMO the instrumental theme of the Mirror Universe episodes would've worked for the show as a whole.

I haven't seen any of the other shows yet, so I can't comment.

Are we talking just visuals or visuals and music? If just visuals:

Voyager
SNW
Enterprise
Prodigy
Lower Decks
TNG
TOS
TAS
Picard (both)
Discovery
DS9

Music rankings would be quite different, so I'm not sure what they would be if they were combined

I just marvel that Enterprise features footage filmed on another planet!

I wish the Voyager intro was remastered to look like what we get in Strange New Worlds.

Maurice Binder lives on. The Picard intros remind me of his work.

Star Trek has that crazy new font everyone's talking about. Once you see it, you instantly know the future. Everyone is wearing colorful uniforms, the buttons are all colorful acrylic, and doors and their starships can woosh! faster than the speed of light. Wow!

Comet chasing will land you at Deep Space Nine. Sloooow, patient comets that come and go once in a lifetime and hide the odd Romulan Bird of Prey or two. I like comets. They're also portents of doom, and considering the awful shit that eventually happens in this series, fit perfectly!

VOY
TNG
LDS
DS9
SNW
PROD
TOS
PIC
ENT
DSC
TAS

Honorable mention for the Archer's Theme outro of Enterprise, which I would slot in between DS9 and SNW if it had also been paired with the intro visuals instead of Faith of the Heart.

1. Voy - Voyager may not be my favourite series (I rate both DS9 and TNG higher), but its intro is unparalleled
2. DS9
3. ENT(I rate the slow version slightly higher than the fast version)
4. TNG (actually, I'm very divided about this one). The first part (with Patrick Stewart speaking space... the final frontier <etc>) is just magical and would score very high on its own. The second part where there is nothing really but the Enterprise swooshing by and just orchestral music is extremely dull in my view and would be very last
6. DIS.
7. TOS - but I don't consider this a bad intro at all. It's just that one has to be last.

Can't really rate the other series.
