Rare Star Trek Photos for October 2008

I have 5 more already complete, a 6th in progress, still more material to sort through, and hopefully over that span of time to release those, I'll also be able to acquire more material.

Some favorites I want to point out...

^^ This is a variant of an often seen publicity photo of Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Uhura. Finding a variant of something from 1967... that's RARE as frak!

^^ Is this not the coolest photo of Beverly Crusher EVER?

^^ This photo has proven to me that an alternate, rejected set of season 6 DS9 cast photos exists! Take a look at this Sisko photo:

and compare (what little you can see of Jadzia's) background to that. The grating, the colors, and the lighting. The Sisko photo was the cover of the 1999 (I think?) DS9 calendar, but I'd never seen another of that style until this Jadzia photo. So that's a bit of a discovery!

^^ This one is just adorable. 2-year-old Keegan deLancie with his father in the big chair. Keegan played Q2, Q's son, in one of the final Voyager episodes.

Hooray! I came on as I realised it was the 1st and hoped the Rare Photos woudl be up, and here they are!

Some beauties here. That one of Gates is stunning. Some very cute Next Gen movie ones, and the Reed family one is great (love Guy Siner!). And thank you for the Voyager ones as always.

And here's a shot of Ilia that I have, which I've never seen anywhere else. It has always puzzled me where it was taken. The background just doesn't have enough detail to tell.

Looks to me to be the V'GER set while it was lit normally. That would be my guess. It could be behind the scenes. But the expression on her face is in character.

I just got my own first and only Persis signature, myself. Cost me a pretty penny. Group shot from a magazine article.

I especially liked the Kirk/Uhura publicity photo and candid Jeri Ryan/Garrett Wang one. The Kirk/McCoy/Chapel TMP shot is also nice, as is the Cochrane pic.

Agreed. Even in the aired episode she looked the best she ever did on the show. McFadden really had one of those classic faces and build that the production team really didn't take enough of an advantage of on the show in terms of her makeup and costumes.

Seems to be a real appreciation for the ladies of Trek around here.

I do always find it surprising, what you all focus on. LOL. I've never been right with my "this is what they'll like the most" predictions.

I love the shot of Kirk and Uhura. It's really atmopsheric. I think I have a smiliar shot to that one of Frakes and Stewart. I'll see if I can find it.
