Rare Photos: March & April 2016

Well a big old "D'oh!" on my part. I totally forgot to post the January/February issue due to illness. Had a bad case of pneumonia, almost hospitalized. So since we're now into March, I've just gone ahead and put up March & April ahead of schedule (I usually like to wait until the first week of the 2nd month) to compensate.

Favorites:
2nd Row, Center: Some alien extras from, I imagine, the Ten Forward scenes in "Generations" on the paramount back lot.

3rd Row, Center: Klingon make-up touch-ups on the set of The Motion Picture. And is it me, or is that blood thirst warrior eating a cheeto? Not sure, could be something else...

4th Row, Center: The Enterprise-E bridge built upon gimbles and air-bags to allow the action of a weapons impact to not be simulated for the first time in Star Trek history.

5th Row, Center: Rene Auberjonsis and Nana Visitor in Ops during the early seasons of DS9.

Which ones are your favorites?

I love that photo of the bridge set too. Would have been great to see the sets in real life - from the inside and from outside.

There are some really nice photos there. The one of Rene Auberjonois holding Nana Visitor really grabbed me.

My favourites, from top to bottom:

2nd Row, Left: Brig shot of STID. The scope of the set looks marvelous. Simple, clean, functional;

4th Row, Middle: Nemisis bridge construction. Love the whole behind the scenes view;

5th Row, Right: Shatner and his mini-fridge. If that was his 'trailer' on the lot, it looks rather tight.

I'd think Cheetos would cause the make up and costuming departments to go ballistic. The dust gets everywhere!

Hands-down favorite: Mark Lenard in Klingon makeup. This is a rare still where I can actually recognize that it's Mark Lenard! In many of the shots in TMP, I personally can't recognize him.

Runners-up: Kirsten Dunst and the three B&W TOS pics.

The pic of the Generations alien extras is also neat.
