It's that time of the month again!



No, not that time of the month! Get your minds out of the gutter!

It's Rare Photo time!

My thanks to those who offered their opinions on what to do concerning the size of this feature. Opinions where fairly evenly mixed here, but the slim majority here concurred with a firm majority on the Omega Sector BBs, and so I have indeed cut things down. Each article will now feature just one page of 18 photos, rather than the two of 36.

I know some will be disappointed with this, but it was a necessary evil and will secure the long-term continuation of things. I now have Articles 33 up through Article 60 -- or until September of 2012 -- totally, 100% complete. It should enable me to continue to produce new issues beyond that, what with sources drying up. After all, we're at 1200 rare photos with this issue. That's a frakking lot!

That said, lets take a gander at the goodies!

5th Row, Left: Dame Judith Anderson gets into her role a bit too much, as she goes to Vulcan neck pinch director Leonard Nimoy!

6th Row, Right: Publicity photo of the shape-shifter Marta in her Ice Planet Alien form.

I really like the new Uhura, Spock and Kirk pic it's awesome.

I love that Nemesis cast shot. It's one of the few bits of TNG stuff I still have left after my cull over the Christmas holidays this last year.

I like the Kirk, Uhura, Spock picture, but there seems to be something odd happening with her knee!

Cool season 2 TNG cast shot. Haven't seen that, either.

Thanks for the images! I hadn't seen a few of those before. I like the Andorian/Tellarite photo from Enterprise, as well as the Kirk-fights-Shahna photo.

Whoever made the "nemesis_white_castphoto.jpg" photo (the photographer/Photoshopper, I mean) did a lousy job. The photo looks fake, like some of the Enterprise cast photos.

I like the cast shots for Nemesis and TNG season 2. I'd like to see more cast shots in black and white; it's an excellent picture.

I like the Seven-in-full-Borg pic and the Combs/Arenberg candid (that blue makeup really makes Jeff's face wash out, though -- must have been tricky to light on-set.) The Martia-ice alien still is also really nice.

-Nice photo of George in uniform.
-I also liked seeing Jimmy Doohan again.
-The Walter Koenig photos were good.
-Although I am not a Nemesis fan, it is a good publicity photo.

Great photos, although I agree with FalTorPan on the Nemesis photo. Could be better.

Whoever made the "nemesis_white_castphoto.jpg" photo (the photographer/Photoshopper, I mean) did a lousy job. The photo looks fake, like some of the Enterprise cast photos.

From what I can tell, they simply took individual full-body publicity photos of each cast member and then, at the last minute, threw them together. This in spite of the fact that they had two other good posed cast photos from the film; the one used on the last version of the TNG companion, of the main 7 in regular uniform in the observation lounge, and the full dress whites wedding photo (which has a variant including Guinan and Wesley)

I've got one of the full-body publicity photos, of Picard, so I'd like to get the others; but that'll likely never happen, lol. It's amazing how much material is swallowed whole by Paramount never to be seen.

*Points back to 2006 and 2007* We've been around for a bit! Heh. Though we didn't become a monthly feature until August of 07.

That Tellarite costume appears on the cover of the recent novel, "The Romulan Wars", and...

... currently hangs in my closet. I bought it from the "It's A Wrap!" auctions!

The top half of this pic, in colour, was essentially the same as the Season Two cast postcard put out by Lincoln Enterprises. IIRC.

I always like to see TMP aliens - it's a shame there don't seem to be more pictures out there.
