Rapelay virtual rape game banned by Amazon

I honestly don't see the problem with this game. If someone wants to indulge their fantasies without harming others, more power to them. We should probably be more worried about, you know, actual rape.

Glad for censorship? Hmm.

What about the business's rights to sell what THEY want to? Don't they get freedom of speech rights too? It's not like Amazon destroyed the game's existence... you just can't get it through them.

Humanoids with animal characteristics have been a staple of Science Fiction throughout the 20th Century-- and of fantasy and folklore since the beginning of time-- I don't see what the big deal is.
I'm pretty sure it's the sexual aspect that most people are familiar with and like to poke fun at. I'd say more, but I'm actually worried I might offend someone (I don't know what's come over me :( ).
The sexual component has always been there as well; Zeus was always getting somebody pregnant while in the form of an animal. :D

By the way, I like what's come over you. ;)

For those who are unfamiliar with her incredible work, here is a sample of Dark Natasha's art:

Seeing pics like this actually is making me pine for the old days of playing the TMNT RPG and running around as mutant animals with martial arts and more firepower than half the Canadian army :D

So what, three BB guns instead of just one?

Hey, I'm married to a canuck, I get a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card on the Canada jokes :D:p

I never thought I'd actually get the opportunity to say "The virtual rape topic got hijacked by a bunch of damn Furries," yet here we are, at that moment. Very bizarre history is being made as we speak.

If I weren't wedded to my current signature as a perfect summary of my attitude about the negativity surrounding Trek XI, that would totally be my new sig.

Do it! Papa Locutus needs a new residual check.

As I've said numerous times in this thread, I respect the right of any business to decide what to sell. However, I believe that in this case they are self-censoring in response to pressure from outraged parties who want to dictate what forms of entertainment other people can and cannot enjoy.

Back on topic, these "rape" videogames must be banned as anyone with a credit card and/or a pay-pal account can access these things & have them shipped to areas where people would obviously be "creeped out" / concerned by it, should (someone else, likely with small children in the home) receive accidental delivery of these packages due to clerical / human error via UPS / Canada Post, et al.

I can't WAIT to see one of these turn-up in an uber-conservative U.S. state in a secondary school computer lab or private home, where a teacher/parent busts a group of kids gathered around the one kid that's too dumb to know better than to bring this game with him/her to school or wherever, touching-off a firestorm such as the one started about Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" being played during a 'baton-twirling' routine.

Nonsense. You can also access the most hardcore porn with a credit card/paypal account, and have it shipped to the wrong address as well. This is no different.

^I wasn't talking about the game itself, I wouldn't have a clue how to get ahold of that nor would I be interested in trying.
