Well, at least you're back to a properly working phone. 
Android phones have far more modification/customization flexibility than the iPhone. And there's a much greater range of free software available too. The latest Android operating system versions have been really solid and I'm very tempted to upgrade. Although, my 1st generation Android HTC phone is still going strong. I almost had to ditch it because of a peculiar menu button problem, but it somehow resolved itself.
