Rank the Pixar films...

The Fatman

Captain
Captain
Inspired by the Monsters, Inc 2 thread. How would you rank the Pixar Animated feature films (the shorts are mostly all great, but lets keep it to the movies)?

My List:

1) The Incredibles
2) Toy Story 2
3) Wall-E
4) Up
5) Toy Story
6) Monsters, Inc.
7) Finding Nemo
8) Ratatouille
9) Cars
10) A Bug's Life

The Incredibles > Finding Nemo > Up > Wall-E > Monsters, Inc. > A Bug's Life > Ratatouille > Cars > Toy Story 2 > Toy Story. Maybe I need to watch them again but I never understood the appeal of Toy Story 1 or 2. I've only seen them once when they first came out.

1. Up
2. WALL-E
3. The Incredibles
4. Toy Story 2
5. Toy Story
6. Cars
7. Finding Nemo
8. Monsters, Inc.
9. Ratatouille
10. A Bug's Life

That said, not a single one of these movies sucks. Even A Bug's Life, which I've only watched twice, was really good.

haven't seen UP so can't say. I think Incredibles, Wall-E, Toy Story 1&2, Ratatoullie, Cars, Finding Nemo and Bug's Life.

1. The Incredibles
2. WALL-E
3. Ratatouille
4. Monsters, Inc.
5. Up
6. Finding Nemo
7. Toy Story
8. Toy Story 2
9. Cars

Still haven't seen A Bugs Life.

I think Up suffered from months of hype leading up to my actually seeing it.

I think the Incredibles is just a fun, fun movie, and I admire Monsters, Inc a lot for being strangely creative. Ratatouille is relentlessly charming, I loved all of the characters.

Cars was a well-made, funny movie, but the Nascar angle is a big turn-off.

1) The Incredibles
2) WALL-E
3) Toy Story 2
4) Up
5) Ratatouille
6) Finding Nemo
7) Toy Story
8) Monsters Inc.

Haven't seen:

9) A Bug's Life
10) Cars

1.) Toy Story

9.) A Bug's Life
10.) Ratatouille

1.UP
2.WALL-E
3.The Incredibles
4.Toy Story
5.Ratatouille
6.Toy Story 2
7. A Bug's Life
8. Finding Nemo
9. Monster's Inc.
10. Cars

1. Toy Story
2. Ratatouille
3. The Incredibles
4. Wall-e
5. Cars
6. Up
7. Toy Story 2
8. Finding Nemo
9. Monsters, Inc.
10. A Bug's Life

The Incredibles for my fav, but the rest are all really good (except I have not seen Cars).

1) Wall-E
2) Finding Nemo
3) Up
4) Monsters, Inc.
5) Ratatouille
6) Cars
7) Toy Story
8) Toy Story 2
9) The Incredibles
10) A Bug's Life

3) Up
4) Ratatouille
5) Finding Nemo
6) Toy Story
7) The Incredibles
8) Monsters, Inc.
9) A Bug's Life
10) Cars

But as someone above said, even the ones lower on my list are way better than most. I've actually even come to find a small appreciation for Cars...

I never saw A Bug's Life or Finding Nemo.

I would rank like so:

1. Toy Story
2. Toy Story 2
3. The Incredibles
4. Ratatouille
5. Monsters Inc.
6. WALL-E
7. Cars
8. Up

I'm definitely in the minority with my Pixar movies opinions. I have not enjoyed the last few very much. Aside from a few moments here and there, I thought "Finding Nemo", "The Incredibles", "Ratatouille", and "Wall-E" were all pretty lame. For movies that were supposedly enjoyable for the whole family, I found them all surprisingly childish and unmoving, especially "The Incredibles". I haven't seen "Cars" or "Up", but the ones that took place right before those all struck me as evidence that Pixar was losing its touch.

The last movie of theirs I really loved was "Monsters Inc." which was funny and touching without going too far into wackiness at times to get annoying like some of the others I've mentioned. I'm excited about "Toy Story 3" and am hoping it and "Up" restore my fate in Pixar. My list would go:

1. "Toy Story 2"
2. "Toy Story"
3. "Monsters Inc."
4. "A Bug's Life"

Sadly, I haven't enjoyed enough Pixar movies to even have a top 5 :(.

I haven't seen all PIXAR movies, but the ones I know I rank as followed:

1) Up
2) Ratatouille
3) WALL-E
4) Monsters, Inc.
5) Finding Nemo
6) Toy Story

1) Wall-E
2) Monsters Inc.
3) Ratatouille
4) The Incredibles
5) Finding Nemo
6) Toy Story 1/2
7) A Bug's Life

I enjoy all of the above right through 'A Bug's Life'. I think some of them are amazing, such as Wall-E (though I think it has its weaknesses) but I feel that all of the ones I've seen are at least entertaining.

I haven't seen "Cars" or "Up" yet. But I have to say that I'm not hugely interested in "Cars", somehow.

"Cars" is my 2 year olds favorite movie. Whenever he wants to watch it, he brings it to me and says "CoolCars!". I have to say that it is a pretty engaging film. At 38, I have a definite appreciation for it.

I think one of the things that put me off the most was the design of the cars. They stuck the eyes in the front screen rather than using the headlights which just seems ... wrong to me on some level.
People tend to anthropomorphize their designs as it is, including objects such as houses or cars. So in a sense, I think I perceived putting the eyes in the windscreen almost like sticking a set of eyes on a human forehead.
Plus it makes you wonder why these vehicles would even come into existence given that there is no real purpose to them anymore. They have doors and a passenger space. But obviously, they would not be able to drive anyone around (at least the notion seems weird to me since you'd be staring right at the back of the their eyes).

Now, having said all that, I'm probably thinking too much about all of this and might enjoy the film anyway. It's just one of those things that can cause you to choose one movie over another, especially since there's more out there than I'll ever be able to watch anyway. Still, it's Pixar, so I may well give it a chance at some point.

1. WALL-E...is one of my all-time favorite movies.

2. The Toy Story & Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. are in the second tier. I thoroughly enjoyed these four movies. Toy Story was a revelation.
3. The Incredibles...almost second tier.
4. Up & Cars distant third tier. Can't say I really liked either of these.

Haven't seen the other couple.
