‘Rambo: New Blood’ Father-Son TV Series In Works At Fox With Sylvester Stallone

After lengthy negotiations, Fox has closed a development deal for Rambo: New Blood, a TV series based on the hit feature franchise, with Sylvester Stallone executive producing. I hear conflicting information whether Stallone has a deal in place to act in the project, about Rambo and his son, though he certainly has the option to do so. Some sources indicate that the actor would reprise his role as the famous renegade soldier, which he has played in all four Rambo movies to date, while others say that he won’t appear in the series.

Between the success of Creed and the upcoming Expendables TV series, it's a good time to be Sly!

I just hope they don't try to make this father-son show anything like what A Good Day to Die Hard turned out to be because that movie was utter shit.

Well, I just hope it doesn't suck like the Kimgdom of the Crystal Skull Indy son, the MacGyver son (or the retroactive MacGyver daughter), and any other crappy son addition that I have forgotten.

At least they're making the son a former Navy Seal so he shouldn't be the typical whiner/brat son they usually put in tv shows and movies.

They should cast Jai Courtney as Rambo Jr, so he can complete the hat-trick of f*cking up iconic 80s action franchises.

Rambo, Jr... what a brilliant idea.

They should secure the rights to do a "Rocky" show too, with the same actor playing the lead roles in both shows. They could do it as an off-season thing, a la "Agents of Shield" and "Agent Carter."

Well, son of Rambo it is. I just found this at another place I post:

RAMBO: NEW BLOOD---prospects for the Fox series about Rambo and his son, an ex-SEAL, are in doubt after Sylvester Stallone's representative said Stallone won't be involved with the series, "Contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone has opted not to participate in the planned Rambo television series in any way at all. I wish the others well with the project."
