I think it was in the last year or so... I was reading that somebody obtained a couple of sealed original packs of Nintendo cards. Unfortunately the cards didn't have slick coating like today's cards, and over the decades the ink had caused each deck to basically fuse together into a solid block as it was impossible to separate the individual cards.

Yeah, I read that story as well. It was on Kotaku. I can only imagine the disappointment and heart sinking moment as realization dawned on them.
