Rachel Weisz wants to be in Trek 12

JJ, sign her up now!

I would absolutely love to see her in the next movie. She was sorely missed in the last Mummy movie.

It's not hard to imagine her as a Vulcan or Romulan.

No more fugly cropped hair!
Other then that she'd be cool in a Trek movie.

Sharr

she'd probably be cool in just about any role; Just no more God damned vengeful Romulans please. Their becoming like the Klingons of..... Just no more Romulans.

It would be cool, if she would be in the next Star Trek film:techman:
The first one was not really full of strong female characters, besides Uhura ofcourse.
But give her some good, maybe more permanent role, rather than some 5 minute cameo appearance:shifty::rolleyes:
Nurse Chapel would be great!

I'm still fond of Ann Mulhall - she was an engineer and the ship's astrobiologist (although given the importance of astrobiology I'm not sure why she wasn't in a blue uniform full time). I'd rather see her as Scotty's number two than Keenser and Weisz could pull that off easily.

Jennifer Garner has mentioned that she wouldn't mind a role in the sequel too hasn't she? I'd prefer Tricia Helfer but Garner is also tall has more than enough poise to play Chapel as long as she's given some decent lines with McCoy and/or some other characters.

I remember her being quoted before the first movie as having said that she'd be interested in appearing, possibly as a Klingon, but I don't think it ever went beyond the rumor stage. (All from 2007, these: Click Click Click Click, plus one from early 2008, while filming was in progress: http://www.trektoday.com/news/040108_02.shtml )

If there's been anything recent about her having a part in the next one, I guess I've missed it.

As long as she plays a character with the rank of Captain or above, I'd totally would love to have her be a part of Trek lore.

Well...OK I know this is a radical idea and I'm probably gonna get rapped for it, but how about they do something like kill off McCoy and replace him with Rachel Weicz as the new CMO? I know it's kinda blasphemy, but so...

Carol Marcus, Nurse Chapel...blah blah blah...

It's not blasphemy - the whole point of nuUniverse is that nobody is safe - but I also don't think it's likely that they will kill off one of the principle characters in only the second movie. If the actors are only tied to three movies then the third movie is anybody's guess.

I'm all for killing one of the non-Big Three in the next movie, but Weisz is too old and poised to be outranked by freshly-graduated Kirk.

Well, Gaith, that could be a challenge for someone like her. I mean, as a doctor, she can evaluate his command essentials, and Kirk would have to "prove" to her that he can handle it. Perhaps they could kill off McCoy, replace him with her, and while McCoy appreciated Kirk, this doctor would question Kirk's ability to command.

It also might prove viable if TPTB now consider the big three Kirk, Spock, and Uhura. Perhaps make it a Big Four.

Oh yeah, and no miniskirt for her. Have her wear trousers and a tunic that shows her rank. Zoe as Uhura can still wear her cocktail waitress uniform for the fans who like that stuff.

So were half the crewmembers on the ship! :p

I'm all for her playing Number One. I think it'd be a great choice. 'Course unless Admiral Pike has a different ship and she is still serving with him, she wouldn't be called Number One anymore...

I could defenitely see her as a clever baddie, but of course it's difficult to say when there's not much info about the movie's plot (but of course there isn't).

She could try to hit on someone to get infomation. Like McCoy or something...

But if possible, it would be great to take in an actor who really wants a role in the movie. Just shows how much Star Trek rocks! :techman:
