John Leeson, the voice of K9 passed today at 83. He was a memorable part of late 70's - early 80's DW for us.
Eric Bauza, too.RIP.
Rough week not just for Star Trek Fans

Recently he had been starring as Dr. John Watson in a series of audio dramas from a British production company, AUK Studios, opposite Tom Baker as Sir Sherlock Holmes, set in the mid 1920s. There have been three so far, with a fourth crowdfunding on Kickstarter right now. (The fourth will reteam Young Sherlock Holmes's Nicholas Rowe and Alan Cox, Rowe as Irene Adler's son, Cox as Watson's son.) I've just received the third, with Sophie Aldred and Conrad Westmaas (C'rizz from the Paul McGann audios), but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I'm not going to say they're great, but they're entertaining, and Baker and Leeson made an appealing Holmes-Watson team.Sadly, outside of Doctor Who, the only other I've ever seen him is in two episodes of Blake's 7.
Have you watched the Australian K-9 series? I haven't gotten around to it yet, but it's one I do plan to check out eventually.Damn, this sucks! K-9 was always one of my favorite companions, especially as a kid. I know I'm in the minority, but The Invisible Enemy will always hold a special place in my heart and a large part of that is because of K-9. I'm so glad the character returned in the modern show but also co-starred with Sarah Jones on her show (again!), as well as countless Big Finish audios (including two K-9s in Gallifrey!).
Sadly, outside of Doctor Who, the only other thing I've ever seen him is in two episodes of Blake's 7.

I'm very happy to see that The Invisible Enemy is on the Doctor Who YouTube channel:

Give a VPN a shot. That often works with YouTube.Apparently Canadians aren't allowed to watch it. Thanks, geoblocking.![]()
