and so much more, much much more.

He'll always be Admiral James Greer to me.

"Understand, Commander....That torpedo did not self-destruct. You heard it hit the hull. And I....WAS NEVER HERE." :mallory:

Sad to hear, though the man sure leaves behind a great legacy in the film industry. He might be one of those actors where everyone has seen at least one movie featuring him, granted a majority of the time those movies might narrated by him. Still, whether you know him as Darth Vader, Admiral Greer, Mufasa, the CNN announcer or many others, he and his voice were known to many in the English speaking world.

RIP

His appearance in Rogue One (my favorite SW film of all time) was even so chilling as to stop your heart cold, even if it was only a few minutes of time.

And, IIRC, he left behind a sufficient anount of vocal samples so that any future SW production can do whatever they want with Vader, thanks to the magic of AI.

He would never find our lack of faith disturbing. Because our faith in hin will last for all time. :)

A sad farewell to JEJ; as an entertainer, he had been one of those pillars among my community that one knew, even if you were not all that familiar with his broad body of work. He was such a great talent, who had to overcome much in his life in and out of the entertainment business, and he's never held back from being quite open about it (e.g., his acceptance speech for receiving the Harvard Foundation Humanitarian Award in 2004).

Fun fact: He appeared in an episode of L&O ("Profile") as defense attorney Horace McCoy.

His real life wife, Cecilia Hart, played three different characters in the L&O universe. One of which was in that very same episode of the mothership.

Don't we love it when a plan cones together? ;)
