His music was great but yeah, his politics...not so much...
Yeah, his politics sucked and he was essentially a chicken-fried Ted Nugent, but the man could play the hell out of a fiddle.
Or a Guitar - just incredible talent (if only he had kept is mouth shut!).
Like with Nugent, I tend to disregard a musician's views on politics and other various topics and focus on whether I like their music or not. The Nuge hasn't done anything noteworthy since the 90's, so I pretty much ignore him at this point.
