Quintessential Trek?

What would you say the most trek trek is? If you had to show someone one episode or film to give an idea of what trek is, what would it be?
My three picks:
- The Corbomite Maneuver.
- Devil in the Dark
- The Galileo Seven

Corbomite Maneuver is one of the episodes that benefited most from the revised special effects. "The Doomsday Machine" is another.

NO body's going to argue with my arrogant Devil in the Dark pick? I must be right then. Rare.

PLUS - I have NEVER revealed this before, unlike other hobby horses beaten to death: I . . . find . . . Balance of Terror . . . . . .BORING! ThereIsaidit. Whew. It's boring. I've literally fallen asleep in it. I like Mark Lenard's nobility, yada yada. Seriously, but . . . yeah.

Don't hate me.

I'd go with Star Trek II, The Best of Both Worlds, Duet, Scorpion, maybe First Contact, and Twilight (the Enterprise episode).

It's alright, I've seen Das Boot about thirty times and to this day I've never been able to make it through without falling asleep at least twice.

Of course, I happen to LOVE Das Boot, but I kinda see where you're coming from.
