Quick question: e-book (SCE, etc) word count?

I know most Trek novels these days are somewhere around the 80,000 - 100,000 word mark, and (EDIT) in Ordover's era they were 20,000 words or so less than that.

Out of curiosity, about how long was each SCE/Mere Anarchy/Slings & Arrows entry?

I think the Trek e-books tended to be in the range of 25 to 35,000 words, more or less. Novella-length.

And Ordover-era books were actually more like 70-80,000 words. I doubt there was ever a non-YA Pocket Trek novel less than 60,000 words prior to the short-novel omnibuses of recent years.

Heh, I guess I wasn't thinking that clearly when I wrote that first post, because what I meant to say was that the Ordover era books were more like 60,000 - 80,000. I don't know how that became half of 80,000 - 100,000. My bad; it's corrected.

That said, some were pretty damn short; I recently read the DS9 Rebels trilogy, and I'd be surprised if those were 60,000 each.

Yeah, I once figured out that the whole Rebels trilogy contained fewer words than Mission Gamma: Twilight alone.
