Quick poll: How many of you have kept facebook or deleted it?

I deleted my Facebook page a couple of years ago. I haven't missed it much at all, although I did have a dozen or so former co-workers from years ago I'd trade humorous sarcastic comments with about current events. But shit, I have you guys for that. I still trade emails with them from time to time.

I recently had to set up a new one to connect with a class I'm attending, but it's hidden with full security blocks, and has a complete absence of posts or personal information.

I don't go chatting in the groups or anything, but we disconnected our home phone to renovate the kitchen and I don't have a cell phone, so Facebook messenger is my current method of communication with friends, family and work.

Jazz groups sound fun but how do you get arguing in a jazz group? What do they argue over?

I'm feeling a heck of a lot happier now without facebook... I almost had the urge to go to my profile page and check the "news" but then had I done that it would have cancelled the 30 day period to deletion. I really couldn't care less. I feel much happier now without it.

Yeah but this isn't Facebook so that's a huge plus.
Plus for the most part this is a very friendly and open community, another plus
You also don't have daily drama with people posting how they want to die every second day.
