Seriously, I would love to ask some race Starfleet pulled the plug on, if they appreciated what we did to them and their planet, or not. For example: The Feeders of Vaal. They were simple, food-gathering, peace-loving folk with Lifespans that were virtually without limit ... and now? After Kirk blew up Vaal's innards, there must surely have been chaos and upheaval. And this is but one example. What must these aliens think of us? That's what I'd like to know ... and know it good! Don't hold back ... tell us how you really feel.

The "Advanced Planetary Weapons System" actually possessed The Feeders of Vaal.

Yes, they built it, long ago, and I'm sure it was quite servile in the beginning. But, either a "Skynet" type of situation developed, as from the Terminator franchise, or some generation or another simply chose to put Vaal in charge.

Either way, once that happened, then we're talking about things like their leader having devices added to his person to give Vaal that much more control.

Maybe The Feeders of Vaal were always an innocent, gullible people and they simply accepted Vaal's will, once he attained awareness? Who knows. By the time we meet him, though ... he's definitely calling the shots.

Going back to the topic title, I would ask this hypothetical 'member of various alien species' if that is just a fancy title for having a mixed ancestry.

Have you ever assimilated a dog or a cat, just to see what'll happen?
Your skin looks bad, have you thought of moisturiser?

If there was a World War III that ANY humans survived, and apparently there was, then it was almost certainly a series of proxy wars. Those tend to be fought in the countries of people too poor or militarily advanced to object to them being fought there, unfortunately for them. Which would end badly for... well... everyone, really - but even more so for the inhabitants of Africa, the Middle East, and large parts of Asia, I would expect. There's (almost?) no racism left in United Earth. There's just a lot more white Americans, Europeans, and probably Australians left than there is of everyone else.

Also recall that the augments controlled lots of Africa and Eurasia-probably why there are far less Arabs and Asians still existing.

If you're talking specifically about Seven's breasts, remember the Borg do have a perception of perfection.

I don't think the Borg just remove "useless" body parts. We see them remove body parts, but only to replace them with something superior (from their perspective, that is). An ocular implant for an eye, a mechanic arm with all kinds of appendages for a biological arm, and so on. So, if they have nothing 'better' to replace those breasts or earlobes with, I suppose the drones get to keep them.

In the episode "Errand of Mercy," from The Classic Series, Captain Kirk uses this sales pitch on the Organians:

KIRK: Gentlemen, I must get you to reconsider. We can be of immense help to you. In addition to military aid, we can send you specialists, technicians. We can show you how to feed a thousand people where one was fed before. We can help you build schools, educate the young in the latest technological and scientific skills. Your public facilities are almost non-existent. We can help you remake your world, end disease, hunger, hardship. All we ask in return is that you let us help you. Now.

"All we ask in return ... is that you let us help you." I don't mean to disbelieve this, because it's coming directly from Our Hero, but ... that "all" part in there has all sorts of red flags popping up, for me. So many ...

Nah, it's fine if they say that. It's when they tell you that all they want in return is some of your water that you know they're really lizard people that want to eat you, and you should open fire immediately.

The DS9 episode "Grand Nagus" had the GN giving Quark some sound advice, also. He goes, "... never trust anyone who puts your prosperity above their own." Kirk's "all we ask is that you let us help you" line comes off just that way. It comes off as a hustle. Plain ... and ... simple!
