Okay, so I'm doing alittle research for my fanfic and there are plenty of things I dk about/in the Star Trek universe. So I have many questions. I thought if I had questions other fans do as well.

This thread is exactly that. Anything in Star Trek, you want to know more about type it here.

Whatever Star Trek series/movie/genre you write in, just make sure your story and characters are set firmly in place, and that you have a comprehensive understanding of both characters and universe, when you write.

If this is a JJ-Trek set story, I would suggest you read the "Countdown" graphic novel by IDW, and then also watch the film... that's about all the background you can have for that, short of reading the novel adaptation for the film as well.
