question re. Tuvok/Vorik

I was checking to see if the changeover happened in the 1960s or the 1970s.

Let's just assume that it's usage, just like Melakon was uncommon and spotty until the 1960s.

When did he go gray?

A Touch of Pink is a movie where a young gay man haunted/coaxed into being a pervert by the screaming queen ghost of Cary Grant (played by Kyle MacLachlan) has to hide his sexuality from his devoutly Muslim mother who is visiting from abroad.

I didn't see a photograph of Grant with gray hair until shortly after he retired in 1966, and he was completely gray. Though I think they did let some show in Father Goose. He was the same age as my dad, who was gray with a Patrick Stewart hairstyle.

Found a good quote from Grant regarding actors: "I'm opposed to actors taking sides in public and spouting spontaneously about love, religion or politics. We aren't experts on these subjects. Personally I'm a mass of inconsistencies when it comes to politics. My opinions are constantly changing. That's why I don't ever take a public stand on issues."

It's ridiculous. Why do people care what celebrities think about anything? Especially actors, who pretend being people that they aren't. Then there's the glut of neo-celebrities who instantly somehow become "stars" because they did a single appearance on a "reality" show. I see stories every day about some 20 year old celebrity I've never heard of.

Just in case this should ever happen to me I have my scandalous opinion pieces already planned out. I'll release them into the world in staged twitter commentary, building up slowly to my ultimate confession.

Of course these days if you're silent on a hot issue like gay marriage you are immediately suspect.

Wait till you get to the otherside.

Gay marriage is done.

Sorted.

Now the hot topic is how to repeal gay marriage and why it should stay on the books.

Same assholes.

New day.

I will fight for gay divorce with every tendon of my being and I swear I will NEVER get divorced myself until every man woman and child in this country is free to get divorced as well.
