Question: Original 1994 web site?

Hi,

A quick question: I just got a copy of the Voyager DVD set and was watching the extra "Launching Voyager on the Web" that describes an original web site from 1994 with interactive features including some footage that was shot specifically for it. I usually don't spend a lot of time on those type of sites, but that sounded interesting so I went to look at it, but can't find it anywhere.

I figure someone must still have this somewhere, so if that is true and you happen to know where that is at, could point me to it? - thanks

I looked on the "wayback machine" internet archive, looked at the voyager page on startrek.com, did a number of google searches, and did some searches on this forum, and still could not find it.

I'm horrible at internet searches, new to this forum, and don't post a lot to forums and such in general, so I apologize if this is already answered somewhere or I made any mistakes in the posting process.

Thanks

I'm not sure what to tell you. If Wayback doesn't have it, then it's likely not to be found unless someone kept an archive of the entire site from 1994, which is highly unlikely. If you go to the Memory Alpha page, it will show a VOY promo, but that's about all I can find, too. (http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Trek:_Voyager)

It`s a pitty, but some relly good Voyagersite are gone over the years. If wayback hasn`t I`m afraid it`s not to be found.

Wayback can't help you if you're using startrek.com as a point of reference. It only launched in 1998, whereas the first Voyager site was 1995. You'd need to track down the real address and then try Wayback on it.

Does anyone even know the original website? I would figure it would be something like UPN.com/Voyager or something like that.

I don't know if this helps for the wayback machine, but before there was startrek.com, there was startrek.msn.com
