Question on multiple Copy/Paste?

There's times when I copy a Hi-res image from the Web, after I've previously copied and pasted other images, normally into PS 7, where the image won't actually copy to the clipboard and I can't paste it into photoshop, or any other image editor.

I was just wondering if this was something to do with the Clipboard cache size () or something with how photoshop takes images?

I can save the images and then open them in photoshop but I usually like to paste them into photoshop first and edit them.

Can there be some kind of copy "protection" going on?

PowerDVD, while playing protected Blu-Rays, seems to be able to prevent screen-captures.
