We're not from the future; we haven't seen any further into the new season than you have. Nobody has any idea who the girl is, and it looks like season 6 isn't going to be answering the question any time soon.

The mystery of the girl will be a season long arc I think as I mentioned in the thread and yeah timothy this could have been posted in the discussion thread. That's what it's for.

Jenny, the girl you are referring to in that one ep with Martha and Donna, was artificially created from the DNA of The Doctor, she is a clone, somewhat. Though they called her the Doctor's daughter, she isn't technically that, its more complicated. However, she apparently did have the means to repair herself after getting killed, but she didn't regenerate into a new person, so it might have just been residual timelord regeneration stuffs from the DNA clone. We don't know if she can do it again or not.

The little girl we saw in the premier, no one knows right now who she is.

We do know this though, The Doctor has a granddaughter, Susan. So, therefore, he must have had kids at some point.

cool thanks for that I just watched both parts back to back tonight and had some questions. all so I was thinking of picking up some of the dvd's that are coming to my barns and noble one I was wondering if anyone knew where to start since they are dated and does any one know if any of them will be coming to blu ray? love the show can't wait till saturday. love english sci fi and horror. also can't wait till torchwood starts back up.

Actually from what happened in the episode it looked like that Terra Forming device healed her since she expelled the same greenish/yellow gas the device gave off...

I always loved the idea that the Terra forming device in that episode activated Time Lord DNA inside her that dealt with Regneration but allowing her to do it without changing her body but the catch would be shorter lives and only 6 regenerations ;)

Or maybe it was just a one time deal, and she can't do that anymore. I kinda think that.

Uh, mods - could someone put a Spoiler tag on the thread title? Australia hasn't even seen the episode in question.

Ah crap, he's discovered this forum too.

Yes, the Doctor has at least one child. We know this because he has a grand-daughter. We've known about this since 1963.

I always figured it was a bit like the end of The Christmas Invasion, and her 'birth' was in effect like a regeneration, and since she was still within 15 hours of regeneration her body was able to heal itself much like when Ten regrew his hand.

Jenny clearly isn't a clone. I don't know much about cloning but I do know that.

The machine makes some changes to keep the gene pool varied, making her a pseudo-clone. BTW, I have to hate you for awhile now. Your post made me speculate that the part should have been played by David Tennant in drag. Pass the brain soap.

all so loved the inside america special very cool. looking forward to this saturday.

Seriously timothy...why did you feel the need to create a new thread when you could easily just have posted this in the Day of the Moon thread. You don't have to create another thread just to have a thread of your own. Sigh.

did'nt see that's for starters. and I posted this right after watching both episodes.

I think the child might be Marilyn Monroe's..it fits the era 1969, and the aliens could have stolen the baby and raised her to the age she was now..If the child was born before that date and she was maybe 8 or 9, she'd be the right age..maybe ol doc slipped her some DNA and took off, she had the baby, and then the Silents took her, leaving Marilyn in the hospital thinking she was there from a drunken binge, and thus began her life of busing and drugging from the silents memory adjustments?

just a theory..LOL

Starsuperion that is the daftest most ridiculous theory ever.

I love it, and will be using it from now on. ;)
