Question for authors: Do you read TrekLit?

Silly question maybe, but with writing a lot of it yourself, do you still feel the urge to read the work of others?

When it comes to knowing what happens in other novels for the sake of continuity, I asume you keep in touch with eachother and the editor(s) update you.

But just for recreational purposes, do you ever pick up a novel by one of the other authors, make yourself comfortable and read for an hour or two?

Yup. Not as much as I used to, TBH, because life. But I do pick out titles that look neat - because I like Star Trek, after all...

I have a pile of four unread 24th-century novels on my dresser. I try to stay current, but while I was writing my latest Enterprise novel, I guess I preferred to avoid the distraction of books set two centuries later. Now that I'm done with it, I'll try to catch up with them, though I have some other time-sensitive writing projects demanding my attention.
