question abut slings and arrows ??

will this series ever be collected like mere anarchy was?
:razz::crazy:

all so wanting to know if this series worth reading?

I was going to make some snide comment along the lines of "why do we even have an FAQ?" since this question comes up so often, but the Slings & Arrows part doesn't seem to have been updated in awhile. Glad I checked! :shifty:

Last I heard, both the Slings & Arrows omnibus and the remaining COE omnibusses (omnibi?) are on hold and waiting for another gap in the publishing schedule like the one which came up last summer with the cancellation of the JJTrek books. If I am wrong I am sure the correct answer will be along shortly.

so should I wait for the omnibus or get indivually? and what gaps are you talking about?

and what gaps are you talking about?

Christopher probably means the gaps that sometimes occur when books are either cancelled (e.g. last years JJverse stories) or the gap that occurred between Paths of Disharmony and Indistinguishable from magic for what ever reason it was.

They're definitely worth reading. As to whether or not to wait, that's up to you. I decided they were a good series to start with when I got my Kindle, since I was so curious about them and didn't want to wait.

cool I 'll check them out thanks for the recomendation's. also, how long are they pages wise?

I would still MUCH prefer to get this as a trade.

Is there someone I can write to ask to get this printed?

:rommie:

Gee, thanks.

:p

I suppose I could just see if S&S has a general customer response email. A request can't hurt. *shrug*

Readers have been begging, pleading and complaining for months that the last two S.C.E. omnibuses haven't been released in ebook format too, but no one seems to be listening. I know, it seems silly to some people to create an ebook version of a print omnibus of ebook novellas but economically, to the purchasers, it makes perfect sense, especially when you consider that they've done this on all previous omnibus editions.

Anyway, I would never suggest giving up but it's been my observations that S&S doesn't seem to pay all that much attention to suggestions or complaints of their customers, at least not quickly. In the current economy, I'd think they'd be even less likely to consider special projects like this.

Good luck though. I hope you succeed.

It seems that S&S has no way to contact anyone at the eBook department. The phone number on the site gets you through to someone who has no clue about eBooks. S&S seems to be THE WORST PUBLISHER if you want/need to contact them about eBooks.

Would it be really that much of an issue to create an ebook version of an omnibus that itself contains ebooks?

Surely they have a pdf or .doc file of the manuscript of the omnibus that they could convert to the relevant format through the magic of technology and then upload onto their website?

Yes I am tech illiterate =]

Given how S&S is botching some of their more recent eBooks, I would stick with the LIT files I bought and convert them to ePub and keep them separated.

I just had a go round fixing the botches in the formatting for Watching the Clock. I can easily see S&A being a nightmare.
