right now doing a tng relaunch read have all the books .
currently reading greater than the sum. I have my summer reading set . now for my winter reading I want to get back into deep space nine . I have read all the way up to avatar and then stopped I was wondering were to go from avatar?
and if there is a speciffic order to go through ?

cool thanks for that . everything there is in e form YES . now will there be anything new coming out by now till december for ds9?

Not really. November has 'Rise Like Lions' a mirror universe novel. By the end of the DS9 Relaunch, the books were pretty heavily involved in the Mirror Universe.

so I should'nt star the mirror books till after I read the ds9 relaunch ?

More like, I wouldn't suggest reading until after 'Warpath'. That's when the DS9 Re-Launch starts tying into them, really.

picked up one and two of avatar for my NOOK. It will be awhile till I get to them.

reading star trek zero sum game right now. about 100 pages in and I am so loving this book. and counting it more as ds9 novel than avantine since it focous's on bashier. this year is so going to be a star trek reading fest.

I haven't read any of the Mirror books (yet) and had no problems with anything after Warpath really. If anything tied in, I don't get the feeling it was that important.

It's extra background, that helps fill in what happened between "The Emperor's New Cloak" and Warpath.

Maybe not before Warpath. As JD said, it definitely fills in the gap between "New Cloak" and "Warpath". However, having read these books over and over again, looking for nuggets and always seeming to find them, I'd recommend reading 'Warpath', 'Fearful Symmetry' and especially 'The Soul Key' before 'Rise Like Lions'. A lot of people didn't care too much for 'Soul Key', and on its own, I found it a little weak, but read it alongside the other two, and it really shines, and it gives momentum for 'Rise Like Lions' when
At the end of 'The Soul Key', Kira and the two Ghemors each have a role to play according to the Prophets. Kira's the Hand, as we learned in Warpath, Kira's Illiana is the Fire, which leads the Ascendants into their crusade, which we know little of, but the Mirror Illiana becomes 'The Voice'. And, with THIS Illiana having essentially becoming the Emissary in the MU, all s***'s gonna fly.

So not only is Smiley's rebellion going to turn into full-blown revolution, and Spock's plan succeed, the events here I'm sure aren't necessarily limited to the Mirror Universe, especially since the Prophets seem to have a hand in it all. Regardless, I cannot wait for Christmas and the release of 'Rise Like Lions'

IS smilley and spock working together aginst the empire? I am cool with spoilers going to do a lot back tracking this year any ways.

If I remember correctly, there are members of Memory Omega involved with the Terran Rebellion, but the Rebellion isn't involved with Memory Omega.

THAT was a great fucking book loved it all the way through even with the section 31 thoughn in at the end. brilliant .

now will they fill in the gap from soul key to zero sum game?

not that I have heard just finished zero sum game which was fantastic. and then I think the third book is all so a ds9 and tos tie I believe other than that I don't know.

No. Smiley and Spock are not working together. Here's why:
Spock's dead. He was killed at the end of the novella and novel of the same name

However, what Spock put into place did survive, albeit several attempts to destroy it have been made. It's interesting, the relationship between Memory Omega and the Rebellion. So that said, I cannot wait to see it.

As for filling the gap between "The Soul Key" and "Zero Sum Game" - They will, but not right away. However, there are spoilers in "Rough Beasts of Empire" that give you hints as to what happened, though. So, if you want a DS9 fix, I'd read it. But, who knows? 2013 is the 20th anniversary of DS9, and if it is in S&S's plans to do something celebrating it, maybe we'll get it. But, I wouldn't also be holding my breath either. As it's been said before, planning such an event does take a lot of time and a lot of planning.

any plans on releasing ds9, tng enterprise or voyager on blu ray any time soon?

all so currently reading star trek typhon pact: sieze the fire which I know is a titan novel but I am working my way through them all now.

^ There are rumours that TNG might get the Blu-Ray treatment, and remastered like the original "Star Trek". However, they were saying that the mixture of live action and visual effects were making efforts a little difficult, but they didn't rule it out. I guess we'll wait and see whether they do TNG before we even see DS9, Voyager or Enterprise.

Hope you enjoy "Seize The Fire". The second time through it for me, the book was a lot better. The first time, I didn't enjoy it too much.
