I think it'd be really nice if someone, somewhere could put some decent sci-fi on TV that wasn't a sequel, remake, spin-off, reboot, or reimagining.

Y'know, just for laughs. To see if it can be done.

I say reboot QL as a theatrical movie a la Star Trek starring James Franco as Al Calavicci.

....yes, I'm serious. I've been thinking a lot about QL and whether we'll ever get to see it revived in a way that would satisfy the fans, and I really am not seeing much hope at all. And this coming from the Leaper who tried to be the most optimistic of all. I could live with them doing a continuation with Bakula and Stockwell guest-starring once in a while. I could even live with them completely rebooting the series, making the cast younger, etc...

Just as an aside.... Did anyone else think of Ziggy when watching "Eagle Eye"? I finally got to see that recently and kept flashing to Quantum Leap....

James Franco would make a good Al in about 30 years. Otherwise Sam have to be 13 or something like that. A movie would be awsome, who would play Sam?

Hmmm... well, if was a reboot movie, then things can be different, of course. Both characters could be younger than in the series and closer to each other's age....

Who would play Sam? No clue. At all.

I could see Zoe Saldana as Verbena. And perhaps Isla Fisher or Amy Adams as Tina.

LOL... A bit of an A/B cast, eh? I can't even believe I'm speculating to this extent. A couple years ago, I would have scoffed at the idea of anything other than Scott and Dean back as Sam and Al...

Oh, and about that Bold Leap Forward by Trey Callaway? Yeeeeahhh... It's a good thing that didn't get off the ground.

How about Matt Daemon and Ben Affleck or Brad Pitt and George Cloony? Justkidding , I love those guys , but the wouldn't be good for the part. I do think Brandon Routh and Clooney could work, but yeah I'd rather have Bakula and Stockwell
