QoS DVD Announced

Broccoli

Vice Admiral
Admiral
http://commanderbond.net/article/5950

Release Date: March 24

I like that they are using a variation of the tease poster for the 2-disc cover art. I really did not like the release poster of Bond and Camille walking in the desert.

However, while all of the covers seem very simple, they also seem busy at the same time. Don't know how that one actually works.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the film (I thought it was merely ok, but nowhere near the level of Casino Royale) but I'm a completist when it comes to Bond, so I'll most likely pick this up.

I like how DVD releases are "announced" as if we're all supposed to be surprised and shocked when they come out as if we didn't expect it. Like we're all still living in 1987 when it'd be a year or more before a movie made it to purchasable home video after being available for rental for several months.

I hardly think it has anything to do with trying to surprise us. You don't want to know when a movie is being made available for you to buy?

Sweet, I'll be picking it up for sure. :techman:
Are they adding back in 30 more minutes of footage to make the movie make sense? ;)

30 minutes isn't enough. It needs one more hour of footage to make the movie make sense. :p

Perhaps they could borrow some from Casino Royale and make two movies that makes sense.
How dare you suggest that the mighty Casino Royale was flawed in some way!

Feh. I know it'll come out on DVD, it wasn't a successful enough movie where it has a long theatrical run, so I knew it'd be out on DVD eventually and I even expected March would be release date as that's about the high average turn around for movies these days.

^Yeah, but...my point is that you're complaining about being given a solid release date. That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Hmm, think I'll give this one a miss. Just bought Casino Royale on Blu-ray and watching that has accidentally served to remind me how much better it was than QoS.

A lot of people hated QoS but I really, really liked it - definitely worth a blu-ray purchase.

This date was already announced back in November, actually - nice to see some details on what's in the discs though

I'll be buying it, both as a completist and cos I loved it

Giving it a release date but "formally annoucing its release on DVD" with big press-releases is a whole other.
