5) The emoticon being overused.
When I first joined the board, I distinctly remember the FAQ mentioning this and stating that one could be warned for spamming if they did not contribute to the thread, as opposed to the various replies you guys mentioned. Maybe I'm wrong, though I don't see it in the current FAQ.
I also want to add to the list the whole "+1" idea, which seems done just to increase post count (though more often I see it on other boards as an attempt to be ironic about wanting to add to one's post count).

Most of those come from the 45+ posts a day people.
To me, as long as the point is brought across, I don't see the problem with single word or emoticon posts. Do I think they get a little excessive sometimes? Certainly. You can't build a meaningful and deep conversation from emoticons alone, but there are times when they move the topic along, which can be effective enough considering the nature of the topic.
