Q re SGU - Gates on Worlds

I was under the impression the Destiny was out there seeding Gates. So how come the Gates are there when the ship arrives? What am I missing? I don't recall a good explanation for this, though there may be one.

There was a ship before Destiny. Seeding gates, helping lay in the course for Destiny.

I believe they mentioned it in the first ep.

More than one ship actually, and yes it was in the first ep.

It's funny how often I've seen people complaining about something on the show which they wouldn't be if they'd just been paying attention. Then again, maybe they'd be paying more attention if they were enjoying the show as a whole more. Who knows?

Yep, Destiny is the follow up ship designed to check out those worlds and presumebly leave Ancient Colonists behind if they deem suitable. I don't know how long after the seeder ships it was launched though.

Along those same lines...is the Destiny moving further away from Earth, or towards it? I know it doesn't make a difference in the long run; I am just curious.

I wonder how long before we the Destiny meets one of these seeder ships.

You know that story is coming, just a matter of when.

My guess would be a season finale. Probably not this one. Maybe season 2 or 3.

The computer chart seemed to indicate that the ship generally moves away from our galaxy.

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten that for some reason.

Probably, as Rowan Sjet said, my attention isn't fully engaged so far.
