Q & A: Thoughts and spoilers

I thought the one with just Picard controlling the ship with his mind was pretty cool too. The Klingon one was pretty cool too.

Generally enjoyed this book. Even before BD, I was a bit disappointed at the choice of new crew. I had hoped for more exotic additions. Minor quibble.

One thing that did seem like a missed opportunity. With all the vignettes around the galaxy, I'm surprised the book didn't catch up with the crew of the Even Odds.

I remember seeing this in stores when it came out, thinking that it was a reprint of an older Q book, one I already had. So I didn't buy it.
Now I'm having trouble finding it in stores.
Oops.

I actually considered that, but I was treating this book specifically as a TNG anniversary story, so I wanted to only use "guest stars" who were familiar to folks who only knew onscreen Trek who might only have picked this book up because of the anniversary. Hence using Riker, Troi, and Tuvok only on Titan (since that was established in Nemesis -- well, not Tuvok, but that was something to hopefully make people want to pick up the Titan books), using Shelby and Klag primarily as former TNG guests we're catching up with years later rather than stars of other book series, using Donatra from Nemesis, and using species specifically established onscreen from the Gamma and Delta Quadrants.
