"Pushing Daisies" cancelled

Crap, i really enjoyed Pushing Daisies. How many episodes are left?
On the other, I really hope Life on Mars wont be cancelled.

How about fans of Pushing Daisies send millions and millions of DOLLARS to ABC, they might like that.

However he talks comic book AND movie....

"It's all true," Daisies creator Bryan Fuller tells me. "I'm so very proud of this show and grateful for everyone's hard work in bringing it to life.
"We would love to continue telling this season's arcs in a comic book format, just to tie up all the loose strings -- and believe me, there are plenty," he continues. "That way we can tell a stand alone movie story that doesn't have all the baggage from the second season stories -- and those bags are packed!"

I very much doubt it. The "vocal fans mail things in" has worked a few times----Jericho being a good example. And the second season still got poor ratings and was the end of the show. Serenity didn't do all that great at the box office despite the fan hype. The studios are realizing that the internet may make fans louder, but it doesn't make them more numerous.....

Well, ABC should take into account that they did not repeat the first season before the second season premiered, there was a 10 month gap. They also did not advertise the show well and had three weeks in-between the last episode and the episode before that

No one panic--I know what to do.

We just have to convince Ned to touch the show.

Then we just pick something to die in its place, like one of the CSIs.

Firstly, we don't get to pick what dies in its place. Of course, that's not really an issue for me since nearly all of my favorites are getting cancelled in the first place (Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis, not to mention Doctor Who & Torchwood both going on hiatus). Of course, if I had to guess which equal value show would die in it's place, I'd probably put my money on Dollhouse to come out stillborn.

Secondly, even if that were an option, it means that Ned would never be able to touch the show ever again. That would be extremely awkward.

I've liked what I've seen of Pushing Daisies so far but it's a little too sweet & static for my tastes. I prefer something with a little more bite to it, like Wonderfalls.

Now, don't get me wrong, I really enjoy this show but the above quote reflects the problem. There are not really any loose strings to tie up. Maybe Chuck's relationship with her aunt and mother and maybe finding some way for Chuck and Ned to be together, but that is it.

The show never generated any interest or motivation to find the source of Ned's ability or resolve any other sort of issue. The facts were out there but there was never any motivation for the writer and thus the viewer to find out what was behind them.

As such, the show lost its spark.

For anyone wondering what can be done to try and save the show, I direct you to http://www.savedaisies.com There's still a campaign going on to save the show. It seems, per a sourse, the president of ABC was wanting to renew but that Disney balked. They are appearently going to air the remaining episodes, so we have until mid-January to try and change their minds. Just because the show has not been picked up does not mean it can't/won't be. Jericho and Family Guy are prime examples of this. PD has won much fan and critical acclaim; I think the fault lies mainly with ABC for doing little to nothing to push the show.

I'm not giving up until the fat lady sings, and I don't think she's clearing her throat quite yet....

If that's true, there might be a chance. Good luck; personally, I can't go through this whole process again. It's just not something I can deal with right now.

That's not true at all. Why would ABC want a show that gets less than 5-6 million viewers?

Stop grasping for anything, the show is dead, the best one can hope for is a movie.

The show used to get 10 million viewers, without repeating the first season for 10 months before the 2nd season and no advertising and having a hiatus in-between episodes, a long hijatus, ABC is at fault
