The Norwegians

Ned, Chuck, and Emerson finally meet their match when three rival Norwegian detectives start to get in their way.

Official Website for Pushing Daisies

We have three left… but despite that sad thought, Happy Holidays everyone! I believe we are to be treated to some special holiday programming for the time being but I will be back with discussion threads for the last three when they are scheduled. See you soon!

The Norwegians! I love that the "Mother" mobile unit's intials were MILF.

I wish they would just TELL Olive! Argh!

Oh, I looooooooove who they chose for "Dad." Great casting.

Emerson, of course, has the best lines. "Oh, look. A bad idea just found a new friend."

Definitely "above average" for me. But I'm very sad that there are so few left. :(

Very funny and poignant ep.

Laughs and angst and aunts - what more can you ask for in a PD ep? :)

Dear ABC,

I'll take 5 copies of All Hell Nah: Words of Wisdom from Emerson Cobb.:techman:

I loved the narrator saying "All hell nah" when we saw Olive with the Norwegians.:rommie:

Chuck believes her father has returned to save them from Norweigans and it was really Ned's dad, George Hamilton. Terrific casting. Poor Chuck. She's going to be crushed when she realizes Daddy is a bastard, who's still on the run and rotting.

I wish they would tell Olive. It's not fair. She's there for them, and they aren't really being truthful with her. Did Ned admit to some affection when they were hanging from that branch?

I remember hearing that they re-recorded some of the final episode given the series was ending, so I wonder whether that will include them telling Olive?

Another excellent from me. This show easily has the best cast and best dialogue on TV, IMO.

I am shocked and dismayed to discover I have, somehow, become a Ned/Olive 'shipper. This tragic fate means I can't post on Pushing Daisies anymore.:(

^ Well, if that is the case, I have to stop posting in my own threads. I looooove Olive. Always have.

As for the episode, I gave it an Above Average. Any episode that gives Emerson and Olive tons to do is sure to be a favorite of mine.

I also would like to admit that I worked in Emerson's "Dumb idea found a friend" line into a meeting at work today. I was very proud.

Oh that just made me gaaah-NASH my teeth in frustration! Another reason for this show not to be cancelled! :klingon:

Notice how Ned's dad was wearing a glove when he rescued sonny-boy? That certainly fits the theory about him having the same powers as Ned and having the same reason not to touch Ned as Ned has not to touch Chuck.

Hah! Me too.

Kristin Chenoweth cast on "quirkly legal drama." Bad news for anyone still holding out hope or allergic to law shows like I am, but who knows - maybe if they make her character literally insane, that might be different...

But didn't we see Ned's dad touch him when he was left at boarding school? Ruffling his hair or something? And I think it's been implied that things Ned brings back to life don't actually age, as evidenced by Digby. So if Ned did bring his father back to life, he shouldn't be looking like an old George Hamilton now.

Eh, I guess I'm just not too fond of another "Dead Dad". We've only just got one with Chuck's father, we don't need yet another person running around who Ned can't touch.

I am however fond of the theory that Ned's gift is hereditary. Something I'd like to see is that Ned's dad was actually the one responsible for the (original) death of Ned's mum, by bringing someone back for longer than a minute. This would be the reason he left, because he didn't want to kill Ned too.

And you know ABC is going to probably replace the show with some POS reality TV show or something.... sigh. :(

From that article:

The last scheduled episode of Pushing Daisies aired Dec. 17; the fate of the remainder of the ABC series' 13-episode Season 2 order remains TBD.

ABC *IS* planning to air the remaining three episodes, right? RIGHT? ::censored:

^ As far as I know but the suits are just being rather vague about it. Rumor has it the episodes are completed and ready to air. They also cost a pretty penny to produce. I would think they would want to show them and get some of the money back. (They may also have to fulfill any obligations to anyone who bought ad time for this particular show.)
